Energy Star Portfolio and Benchmarking

This is the first step in reducing building energy consumption and costs. The Environmental Protection Agency established a Portfolio Manager which is an interactive energy management tool that allows facilities to track and assess energy and water consumption across your entire portfolio of buildings in a secure online environment. Whether you own, manage, or hold properties for investment, Portfolio Manager can help you set investment priorities, identify under-performing buildings, verify efficiency improvements, and receive EPA recognition for superior energy performance.

Portfolio Manager Results

EcoHill Solutions has developed the resources necessary to quickly gather, assess, and benchmark any building in your portfolio and have created an easy to understand report for your organization's use. We help manage and track the energy and water consumptions for all buildings on your campus or your portfolio and with the EPA Portfolio Manager, we can benchmark facilities relative to past performances.

We work through the numbers to determine the Energy Star rating which is used for recognition of high performance buildings. This recognition is used in the same manner that the LEED rating system offers, to showcase and promote your facility for high efficiency and occupant comfort.

At the end of the day, management of a single building or even a large campus is easier with our custom reports in hand. Our reports detail explanations of carbon emissions, spikes in energy usage, and the methods to improve the Energy Star Rating. Complete knowledge of building patterns make it easier to advertise the benefits and status of a green building.

If a facility receives a rating of 75 or above, it can be eligible for the Energy Star High Performance Label. Buildings that receive a rating of 75 or below should take the steps to have an energy audit conducted to identify problem areas and improve energy efficiency.

The Portfolio Manager Is Used For:

  • Rating Building Performance
  • Managing Utility consumption
  • Determining Carbon Footprint
